It’s widely documented that the UK construction industry is experiencing a significant skills shortage. By investing in apprenticeships we can help bridge this skills gap, enhance employee retention and foster a culture of continuous learning.
We have a number of apprentices enrolled across the business and are committed to continuing to offer apprenticeships to both current and new employees across all functions at all different levels.
Did you know Apprenticeships are not just for entry level roles, school and college leavers, paid at minimum wage?
An apprenticeship is a paid job where the employee learns and gains valuable experiences through on the job training alongside completing formal learning, leading to a nationally recognised qualification. They can be completed by anyone over the age of 16 living in England, not in full time education, for any of the following purposes:
Apprenticeships can start at any of the following levels, but some may require previous qualifications to be eligible:
Level | Equivalent Education Level | |
Intermediate | 2 | GCSE |
Advanced | 3 | A Level |
Higher | 4,5,6 & 7 | Foundation degree and above |
Degree | 6 & 7 | Bachelor’s or Master’s degree |
What’s the benefit of completing an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are a great option for anyone wanting to gain experience, upskill, develop or change career. The scheme offers the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification without the cost of any training or tuition fees, all whilst continuing to earn a salary.
