Hopkins HomesAccording to a survey, new build properties are the most popular type of housing with people also preferring detached houses in the country*. One of the main benefits of a brand new property is that you have a blank canvas which you can completely personalise.
Tim and Ellie Sims, recently bought a five bedroom detached house at Hopkins Homes’ new development, Mulberry Gardens, in Mulbarton, Norfolk, which they have made into their dream home. Tim Sims, 49, a Retail Manager at Marks & Spencer, comments: “My wife Ellie and I moved to Norfolk as I was relocated here for work. We have always bought new houses, as we prefer having something which we can make our own and something that hasn’t been lived in before. We loved the development at Mulberry Gardens but wanted some structural changes to be made to the interior of the house. As we bought the property off plan, before the first brick was laid, Hopkins Homes was able to do the work we wanted, which included combining two bedrooms into one large master bedroom with a bespoke en-suite bathroom. We also had the choice of interior specifications. We worked closely with Hopkins Homes and the builders, who were great throughout the whole process, to make all the changes we needed and we’re really pleased with our new home. “We now have a fantastic house that perfectly meets our requirements in a great development. It is close to work and has easy access to major roads for travel. The house is in a great location within the development, as it is south facing, so we get a lot of sunshine and light, which has been wonderful so far this summer.”
Purchasers can choose from a selection of designer kitchen cupboards, work surfaces, vinyl floor covering, fire surrounds to most properties and wall tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, subject to stage of construction. Internally the homes are of a classic yet contemporary design and are finished to the high standards that Hopkins Homes is renowned for.
