The Hopkins Charitable Fund

Hopkins Homes is proud to call East Anglia home. We care deeply about the legacy we leave in the place that we live and work, our impact on existing communities and what we can do to effect a positive change for all local people.

It’s not just our responsibility to play our part in improving these communities, it’s our absolute privilege. Because this is our home, and has been for over three decades.

Hopkins Homes is a company proud to be based in and supporting East Anglia, and most people that work with us are proudly East Anglian too. We all care deeply about the legacy we leave in our communities. The Hopkins Charitable Fund is our way of putting back help and support to those that need it most in our society.

Here you’ll find out a little more about the ways we’re working not just to build homes, but to build happier, healthier lives in our region and beyond. Most importantly, it’s our opportunity to shine a spotlight onto the important causes we’re proud to support.

Our Mission

Having supported local charities and communities from the very beginning, we set up the Hopkins Charitable Fund in 2017 to help us reach further and wider. Through small grants and major projects, we’re helping to build communities, supporting vulnerable people and making a difference to the environment we live in.

Our Commitments

Ever since we started building houses, we’ve been helping communities and making donations to local charities and good causes every year. We live here, too, so it’s important for us to take pride in what we do and help the most vulnerable whenever we can.

The Big Picture

We love local, but we want to help in the wider world, too. We support some fantastic causes overseas, such as The Banyan Tree project in Kerala. And our support for the Blue Marine Foundation helps save the world’s oceans as well as the coastlines of East Anglia.

Hopkins Homes Charity Votes

We love to support causes that are close to the hearts of people across East Anglia. So alongside our small grants programme we run regular online votes in Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire where we ask the public to choose which local charities share a £10,000 donation.

The votes are a great chance for charities to galvanise their current supporters and introduce themselves to new ones.

Volunteering

Charity isn’t just about giving money. We also like to roll up our sleeves and help our chosen charities practically – painting buildings, creating gardens and improving local communities.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR HELP?

We’re always keen to support more local communities and good causes. Our grants programmes are all run by the Community Foundations in each of the counties. Please contact them directly if you’d like to talk about applying for a grant or have an idea for volunteering.

Their details can be found on each of the county pages in the grants section.
