Working in partnership to improve workforce wellbeing

Hopkins Homes has partnered with Lighthouse Club, the Construction Industry Charity, as part of our journey to workforce wellbeing.

According to Lighthouse, two construction workers take their own life every day in the UK and Ireland. If employees are struggling, help is now at hand. The charity’s ‘Help Inside the Hard Hat’ campaign aims to raise awareness of poor mental health within the industry, with a mission to ensure no worker or family feels alone in a crisis.

Lee Barnard, Managing Director of Hopkins Homes, commented: “By joining Lighthouse as a Company Supporter, we’re aiming to improve the welfare and wellbeing of our workforce, whilst keeping the charity’s key services free for anyone within the industry to access.?We hope that adding our support to this campaign will further enhance the great work of the Lighthouse Club.”

The new partnership gives our employees access to a 24/7 confidential helpline, a text-back counselling service and a self-support app. Face-to-face help is also available via several Lighthouse Beacons located throughout the region (including ‘Talk Clubs’ based in Norwich, Ipswich and Cambridge).

These services cover all aspects of emotional, physical and financial wellbeing and are available in many different languages.?Access to help is available to all staff and their families, as well as subcontractors, agency workers and allied trades.
