Stay connected in Alconbury.

Alconbury is a small, well-connected village in Cambridgeshire, offering a balance of rural calm and practical convenience.

A 10-minute drive from Alconbury Weald lies the market town of Huntingdon. Beyond its historic buildings and museum, Huntingdon offers a wealth of shops, a Waitrose and a traditional market in the square every Wednesday and Saturday.

Tranquil Huntingdon

Enjoy leisurely walks and summer concerts in Huntingdon’s Riverside Park that lies along the restful banks of the Great Ouse. Spend a day at the races at Huntingdon Racecourse. Catch the latest flick – and a meal to go with it – at Tower Fields Leisure Park in Huntingdon, while Chequers Court, with its M&S foodhall, Next and Costa Coffee is an ideal spot for a little retail therapy.

Popular restaurants and pubs in the area include the Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon and the attractive thatched Abbot’s Elm in Abbots Ripton – as well as pubs in Alconbury village, Alconbury Weston and The Stukeleys. Just a few miles south is the village of Brampton, with a butcher, post office and welcoming country pub, The Black Bull.

Easy access to Cambridge and beyond

A half-hour car journey from Alconbury Weald sees you in picture-perfect Cambridge. Famed for its university and colleges, Cambridge offers you a day’s shopping; a coterie of restaurants, bars and clubs; a traditional market; punting on the River Cam; the Cambridge Science Park, home to some of the world’s most innovative businesses; and a wide range of sport and leisure facilities for all ages to enjoy.
