The Bittern Line also serves Hoveton and Wroxham, one of the best-known gateways to the Broads National Park.

Hoveton Riverside Park, the Broads Information Centre and seasonal boat trips on the River Bure are all close to Hoveton and Wroxham station. From there, visitors can explore the waterways, enjoy a riverside walk or learn more about the landscapes and wildlife of the Broads. 

This means the railway can support very different kinds of day: a morning meeting in Norwich, an afternoon on Cromer beach or a boat trip through the Broads.

A Station for Everyday Journeys

North Walsham station has a car park, ticket machine, seating and bicycle storage, helping residents combine rail travel with walking, cycling or driving according to their needs. 

The station is only 10 minutes walk from The Tanner’s Quarter, Bus connections on Norwich Road and the town’s road links also provide alternatives for journeys around the wider area. 

Well Connected by Road Too

North Walsham’s location also provides access to the A149 and wider routes towards Norwich, Cromer, Stalham, the Broads and the surrounding North Norfolk towns and villages.
