The town centre boasts a selection of historical buildings and offers a range of specialist independent local shops and eateries as well as larger shops. A market runs every Wednesday that offers a fine selection of local produce such as locally caught fish and cheeses.

The town has a primary school and large local children’s play park for the family to enjoy at their leisure within an active community. Miles of coastline are just a few minutes drive away, offering outstanding natural beauty and the choice of lazy days on the beach or the opportunity for tranquil walks to get away from it all at the coastal nature reserves.

Saxmundham sits on the A12, the main route through East Suffolk, offering access to Norwich via connection to the A146 and easy travel to Ipswich. From here it continues on to London and links to the A14, which runs from Felixstowe through to the Midlands. The train station offers an easy commute to Ipswich or even to London within 2 hours. Living at Priors’ Grange you have the benefits of tranquil and picturesque living with easy access to everything the 21st century has to offer.

Only 6 miles from Priors’ Grange is the picturesque coastal village of Thorpeness. A small historic village known for its landmark, the House in the Clouds. In the centre of the village is a large boating lake which is open to the public and plays a key attraction in the yearly Thorpeness Regatta, which features boat races, parades and a grand firework display. Just a mile down the road from here is the beautiful coastal town of Aldeburgh. The town’s high street offers a vast range of specialist boutique shops, public houses an array of restaurants, cafes and its most renowned specialty – fish and chips. Aldeburgh’s location on the River Alde and the sea has made it a favourite for sailing and yacht enthusiasts. Regular race weekends are hosted by the local club as well as sailing tuition.
