The High Street is the perfect scene for some genuine retail therapy hosting an exceptional array of boutique-style outlets to suit all tastes and needs.  Good food and drink is in abundance and as you would expect, first class seafood can be found in the town's many fine restaurants and pubs, most of which serve ales brewed by the local - and world famous - Adnams Sole Bay Brewery. Walk along the banks of the River Blyth and take in the beauty of Southwold's stunning harbour.  The harbour lies to the south west of the town, beyond Gun Hill and South Green.  Whilst many English seaside piers are in decline, Southwold pier is enjoying continued popularity.
