Welcome to Hopkins Homes’ community liaison service website for the development off Harwich Road in Mistley. Here you will find more information about the development as well important updates when necessary about activity on site. At the bottom of this page, you will also find answers to FAQs that will be updated when needed as the development progresses.

 

The development will create 135 new homes on land off Harwich Road, Mistley. The development will include a range of 1 & 2-bedroom apartments and houses, 3-bedroom houses and 4-bedroom houses; 9 of which will be affordable homes delivered in partnership with a Housing Association. The final masterplan for the site is shown below.

 

This development is being built by Hopkins Homes, one of the largest independent house builders in East Anglia. We pride ourselves on the quality of the homes we create and the strength of our links to the local community. 

 

Work has begun on the site and the first houses are due to become available for sale in Spring/Summer 2018.

Q: How can I get in touch with the site team?

Q: Will I be affected by construction on site?

  • There is no doubting the need for new homes – both nationally and locally – but we do also appreciate that building houses can cause some disruption to local people through construction noise and traffic. We are committed to keeping such disruption to a minimum.

Q: What times will work take place on site?

  • The working hours shall be between:
    • 7.30am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday,
    • 8.00am – 1.00pm Saturday,
    • No work shall be carried out on Sundays or Public Holidays

 

Please be aware that our construction teams often arrive shortly before these times, but are aware of the construction start times.

 

Q: How will the site be accessed by construction traffic?

  • During construction the site will be accessed via Harwich Road. We understand that this will cause more vehicles using this road, but we endeavour to keep the disruption to usual traffic to a minimum. We will conduct road inspections and conduct road cleaning when necessary.

Q: Mud on the road

·         While we are using the Harwich Road entrance we will be conducting road inspections and conduct road cleaning when necessary to avoid disturbances to you and your neighbours.

Q: Noise complaints (generators, etc.)

  • We do our best to keep disruption to a minimum, though our construction will unavoidably cause some noise. If at any point you feel that the noise is on-going outside of start times please get in touch with us community@harwichroad-mistley.co.uk or by calling the Freephone number: 0800 0352 874 and we will see if this can be resolved in any way.

This site will be situated just off Heath Road, with an approximate postcode of CO11 2QH. This site will consist of 135 units in total (126 Private and 9 Affordable.)

The mix currently consists of 2 Bedroom Coach houses, 2 Bedroom Terraced Houses, 3 Bedroom Semi, Terraced, Link Detached and Detached Houses 4 Bedroom Link Detached and Detached and 5 Bedroom Detached Houses.

 We are looking to launch this development with a Cabin early May 2018 with a Show Home due around October 2018. Prices will be released when the development launches.
