 Welcome to Hopkins Homes’ community liaison service website for the Beach Vale development on land off Mundesley Road, Overstrand. Here you will find the latest news from the development and updates on upcoming work at the site. At the bottom of this page, you will also find answers to FAQs that will be updated as the development progresses.

 The Beach Vale development will create 42 new homes on land off Mundesley Road, Overstrand. The development will include a range of two to four bedroom houses and three bedroom bungalows together with public open space.  The final masterplan for the site is shown below.

This development is being built by Hopkins Homes, one of the largest independent house builders in East Anglia. We pride ourselves on the quality of the homes we create and the strength of our links to the local community. 

We expect to start work on site in November with the first houses becoming available for sale in Spring 2017.

Q: How can I get in touch with the site team?

Q: Will I be affected by construction on site?

  • There is no doubting the need for new homes – both nationally and locally – but we do also appreciate that building houses can cause some disruption to local people through construction noise and traffic. We are committed to keeping such disruption to a minimum.

Q: What times will work take place on site?

  • The working hours shall be between:
    • 7.30am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday,
    • 8.00am – 1.00pm Saturday,
    • No work shall be carried out on Sundays or Public Holidays

 

Please be aware that our construction teams often arrive shortly before these times, but are aware of the construction start times.

 Q: How will the site be accessed by construction traffic?

  • During construction the site will be accessed via Mundesley Road. We understand that this will cause more vehicles using this road, but we endeavour to keep the disruption to usual traffic to a minimum. We will also conduct regular road inspections and conduct road cleaning.
  • If you see anything that you feel needs to be addressed then please do contact us by emailing community@beech-vale.co.uk or by calling 0800 0352874 so that we can investigate this for you.

Q: Mud on the road

·         While we are using the Mundesley Road entrance we will be conducting regular road inspections and conduct road cleaning to avoid disturbances to you and your neighbours.

Q: Noise complaints (generators, etc.)

  • We do our best to keep disruption to a minimum, though our construction will unavoidably cause some noise. If at any point you feel that the noise is on-going outside of start times or is particularly loud please get in touch with us on community@beech-vale.co.uk or via our Freephone 0800 0352874 and we will see if this can be resolved in any way.

Overstrand update:There will be some activity from service companies offsite over the next week – this will be in order to get mains cables etc. connected to the site. Otherwise some internal work is taking place within the sales garage, with a view to open soon. The show home is also beginning to see work above ground.
